Graduates of the TIMARA Department have been successful in graduate study at top schools like,
Stanford, Eastman, Princeton, Northwestern, MIT, California Institute for the Arts and the universities
of Michigan, Illinois, and Southern California.
Graduates who have chosen a direct path into professional life are working in commercial, theatrical,
and new music circles in New York. There are Oberlin people in research for Apple and NeXT
computers, as well as Yamaha musical instruments. Marc Canter is founder of MacroMind, the world's
leading producer of multimedia software for the Macintosh computer. Greg Hendershott is president of
Twelve Tone Systems, a company that develops music software for the IBM PC market. David Amlen
is head of Sound on Sound, a major New York recording studio.

- Bret Battey
- Independent Artist working with the Seattle based Northwest Cyberarts group, developer of the Juggling Jukebox technology of interactive music with motion detectors. Currently a graduate student at the Univ. of Washington in Seattle.

- Evan Brubaker
- Singer/songwriter/performer in Seattle. Runs the Pan Leggo Steel Drum Band.

- founder of MacroMind, Inc, manufacturer of Director and many of the other leading multimedia software products for the Macintosh. Currently is the founder of Canter Technology developing interactive multimedia.

- Peter Flint
- Composer/sound designer/audio engineer working in new music, theater,
video, and television in NYC. Toured with Philip Glass for "Einstein on the Beach".
Has worked with another TIMARA alumni, Dave Baron at Baron&Baron Productions.

- On the faculty of Austin Community College. Winner of prizes at the 1995 Luigi Russolo, Musica Nova and Tampa Bay Composers' Forum Competition. Winner 1994 student composition award, Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States (SEAMUS)
- Dan Forden
- Has composed music and sound effects for many Williams Electronics games, including Mortal Kombat.

- Network manager/webmaster/systems administrator for Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. Has also worked for Florida State University graduate conservatory of Motion Picture, Television and Recording Arts.
